How To Make Monte Cristo Sandwich Instantly?

Monte Cristo Sandwich

It may sound slightly weird to those people who are unfamiliar with the monte cristo sandwich. This is a strange combination of savory and sweet. But if you’re of those who dip their bacon in a maple syrup then you would love it.

Monte Cristo Sandwich

It’s a combination of savory/ sweet, custardy/pillowy, tender/crispy and lea/creamy. It’s all in a single bite. When I get up late in a day and call for my first meal that is the breakfast. I get keyed up regarding eating it.

A few might say this sandwich is older than Alexandre Dumas’ novel named Monte Cristo Sandwich. It is a bit recent and domestic in its origin. It’s more like an American edition of a croque – monsieur and was created around 1930’s. It’s doubtful that its name has been invented by them but the Disneyland is given credit for popularizing its name. Since café Orleans and the Blue Bayou have been opened in 1960’s it is a nail in the menu and are the first places I had Monte Cristo Sandwich at.

The way I it is by making a French toast with mouth watering lunch meats. The cheese and the flour in the French toast give the warm challah bread the crisp on the outer crust, at the same time making the bread custardy inside. Meats are on a sweet side and you can actually find real Emmerntaler cheese. It is nuttier and more flavored than the American “Swiss cheese”.

Brush the powdered sugar on the top of it and also dip a sandwich in an ample amount of jam or the maple syrup and also the confused taste buds of yours would thank you for conquering the first uncertainty.
