Happy Eid Greetings to all the followers of Food in 5 minutes! Eid-ul-Adha is approaching so here is a special, yummy and mouth-watering recipe for Mutton Karahi. You can also use Beef instead of mutton and enjoy the savory taste of sacrificial beef.

Ingredients

Mutton Karahi Recipe

  • Yoghurt……………………………………………………two cups
  • Whole black pepper…………………………………..half tablespoon
  • Cinnamon (Darchini)………………………………..four to five small pieces
  • Black Cardamom (Bari Elaichi)………………….one to two pieces
  • Whole Red Chilli (Saabat Laal Mirch)…………six to eight pieces
  • Red chilli powder………………………………………one teaspoon
  • Ginger/Garlic paste………………………………….two tablespoon
  • Beef/ Mutton…………………………………………..one Kg
  • Water……………………………………………………..two glasses
  • Oil/Ghee…………………………………………………half cup
  • Happy Fenugreek (Sukhi methi)……………….One tablespoon
  • Salt…………………………………………………………one tablespoon
  • Garam Masala Powder………………………………half teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves……………………………………….half bowl (chopped)

Mutton Karahi Recipe

Method

  • Heat cooking pan on the stove and pour yoghurt in the cooking pan.
  • Add whole black pepper, cinnamon, bari elaichi, sabut lal mirch, red chilli powder and ginger/garlic paste in this yoghurt.
  • Stir the yoghurt, mix the spices properly and then add the meat in this yoghurt.
  • Add two glasses of water and cover the cooking pan.
  • Let the meat cook on low heat for around 40 to 45 minutes.
  • When the water has dried up add the oil or ghee in this curry and stir it.

Bakra Eid Recipes

  • Add sookhi methi, salt, and coriander leaves and then properly fry the meat by stirring it for few minutes.
