Fruit Chaat is considered to be the traditional dish of Pakistan. Not only is it served at snack times during regular days but it is also a popular Iftar-time dish during the holy month of Ramadan. Fruit chat is extremely nutritious dish and is a great meal for you if you are striving to lose weight. It is also served as desert after dinner in most of the Pakistani houses. Preparing fruit chat is a very easy task as it contains simple ingredients and less effort. If you are relaxing at your home on a lazy evening and suddenly uninvited guests surprise you with their arrival, then you can amaze them with your cooking skills by serving this simple dessert.

Ingredients

You are going to need the following items for this fruit chat:

  • Pineapple Juice………………………………….one cup (you can either use fresh pineapple juice or you can use Nestlé’s pineapple juice.
  • Icing Sugar……………………………………….Two tablespoon
  • Salt………………………………………………….Half teaspoon
  • Mango…………………………………………….two (Mash one mango and cut the other in small slices)
  • Melon…………………………………………….Half (cut into cubes)
  • Peaches…………………………………………….two (cut into cubes)
  • Apple…………………………………………….one (cut into cubes)
  • Bananas……………………………………….three (cut into slices)

Method

  • Take a large-sized glass bowl.
  • Pour in the pineapple juice.
  • Add icing sugar.
  • Add salt and mix it with a spoon.
  • Add mashed mango.
  • Add melon, peaches, apple, mango slices and bananas in the bowl.
  • Mix all the items.
  • Keep in refrigerator for half an hour.
  • Serve when chilled.

You can also add different toppings on this fruit chat for instance fresh cream topping or Rooh Afzaa topping.
